After the battle against Saruman, the Ents and Huorns sit still in Isengard...
Though you may, if you're cunning, notice that when you click on them with the Go Arrow and there are enough people at Isengard to bring up a list, you can select the Ents and Huorns to move. Send those suckers down to Minas Tirith and watch the incoming hordes get stomped!
Found this out as a kid, used the Ents and Huorns to actually wound Sauron at one point; just be careful, loosing the Ents counts as a lost "lord", and enough lost "lords" results in game over.

Cool trick. If I ever play it again I've definitely got to try it out.

The easiest way to beat the game is right at the beginning, move Faramir and Eomer to Minas Tirith and Edoras respectively. Send both Denethor and Theoden to Rivendell, then send Faramir and Eomer to Rivendell as well. Make sure as you take Frodo out from buckland that you pick-up the Gnarled Staff. Once you get Frodo to Rivendell there is a 2 month lapse, so Theoden and Denethor will arrive by the time you start again. Once they meet Gandalf they automatically mobilize.
Join everyone up under Gandalf and move him down to the Ent Moot, where Gandalf will mobilize the Ents. Join all the units that are mobilizing in Rohan and Gondor and send them to Edoras along with Gandalf after he has mobilized the Ents. Wait for the Ents and Hurons to destroy all of Saurman's forces then move both Ent units down to Minas Tirith and keep the rest of your forces in reserve. Wait for Mordor to launch it's attack and let the Ents destroy all those forces. Then move Gandalf down to Minis Tirith and send what's left of the Ents to Minas Morgal. Then it's an easy roll through to Mount Doom with 20,000+ troops.
