I used to play this time all the time as a kid and I recall once in Minas Tirith after Theoden died, it said Eomer was crowned King of Rohan...I tried to replicate the events but was unable to. I also think that at some point Aragorn met the army of the dead near Dunharrow, but I didn't zoom in to trigger them. I'd guess you'd use the scepter for this? Did anyone ever trigger these events themselves?

HI. on War In Middle Earth I have never seen this. usually when Aragorn or a party of characters only (no armies) go through the paths of the Dead, they get attacked by 53 dead men.
In reading the books, aragorn has a small silver horn he blows at the black stone at Erech. Then he summons up the army of the dead to follow him. I don't know how to get the dead to follow you in WIME. Nor have I found a use for the coil of rope.
I DO have a thing where I basically wipe out EVERY single orc army in the game, without winning, then go around with Gandalf, Glorfindel, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, etc & pick fights with balrogs. It seems the Balrog at Hollin Gate is a bit more powerful than other random Balrogs (one found at Mt doom, one found in the Mountains north of Goblin Town). I may work on video taping some of my exploits and uploading them.

I recently found a way to HEX edit the savegame file and I was able to change Gandalf's character into a "Dead Man". I had no idea they existed until your post.

comicquestHow you get Glorfindel to join you on the quest? She normally disappears in Rivendell. I also got attacked by the dead men when travelling with the Fellowship and the Grey Company (20 rangers arriving in Rohan when Saruman attacks). This way you can easily rout the dead. geesterixI don't think you can make ally with the dead in this game since there is no shipping here and the role of the dead in the book is that they help Aragorn steal the ships of the corsairs.
